Whenever I said "The Tree", people from Nova Scotia always knew what I was talking about. The Shubie tree, a mighty oak, was a landmark for us. Without close competition, it was the most photographed tree in NS. I did two photo shoots there myself.
It's sad we lost The Tree to the ferocious gusts of Fiona. However, 300 years is a mighty run and deserving of a tribute.
